Because this is a permanent chemical process, we want you to be fully informed. Review our expert answers regarding aftercare and safety.
Keratin is a temporary smoothing treatment that washes out over 3-5 months, leaving your natural curl intact. Permanent Straightening (Rebonding) chemically breaks your hair bonds, meaning the treated hair will stay pin-straight permanently. You will only need touch-ups on the new roots as they grow in.
In most cases, we do NOT recommend permanent chemical straightening on heavily bleached or highlighted hair, as the hair structure is already compromised and could break. During your consultation, we will assess your hair and may recommend Nano Plastia or Botox as a safer smoothing alternative.
Permanent rebonding is a highly meticulous, multi-step chemical process. Depending on your hair length and thickness, expect the appointment to take between 3 to 5 hours.
The first 3 days are critical! You must NOT wash your hair, sweat excessively, tuck your hair behind your ears, or tie it up with a hairband. Doing so can leave a permanent dent or kink in the newly set bonds.
